Jay Gantz, MD, PhD

Hometown: Iowa City, IA

Personal Statement: When I was looking at ENT residencies, the WashU program quickly stood out for its incredible breadth and depth in both clinical and research training. I was looking for a program where I could easily find surgeon scientist mentors, yet still graduate with a full range of clinical and operative skills. Outside of residency, my personal pursuits include being a parent, an avid snow and water skier, a cellist since age 4, a fly fisherman, a wakeboarder, a backpacker, a sailor, a woodworker, a gardener, and a calligrapher.
