Patients who want to see Washington University Otolaryngology providers can now schedule their appointments online at the WashU Physicians website.
Because the service just went live Dec. 15, patients are just starting to book their appointments online, according to Otolaryngology Vice-Chair for Clinical Operations Allison Ogden, MD. Otolaryngology is the first specialty care department at Washington University to adopt the tool and possibly the first academic otolaryngology department in the country to do so, according to Ogden.
Not all patients will qualify to use the current tool, but it will be expanded in the near future to allow more patients to take advantage of online scheduling.
“We’re really excited about this option,” says Ogden. “It will improve access to care by making it quick and easy for patients to schedule the care they need.”
