The expert laryngologists and speech-language pathologists at the Washington University Voice & Airway Center offer the latest innovations in medical and surgical treatments for problems that affect the voice, upper airway, and ability to swallow.

Our multi-disciplinary approach enables us to offer a tailored treatment strategy for each patient. We recognize the importance of voice and swallowing on a patient’s quality of life.

Our speech-language pathologists offer specific and nuanced therapy to address voice and swallowing problems. Our physicians offer the latest innovative diagnostic and procedural treatments for dysphonia, dysphagia, and dyspnea, including awake treatment of laryngeal disease, Botox injections, fine microsurgical dissection of the larynx, treatment of vocal paralysis, and Zenker’s diverticulum.

We are also proud to serve as the exclusive provider of acute voice services to Opera Theatre of St. Louis.

We see patients at the Center for Advanced Medicine on the Barnes-Jewish Hospital campus and at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital.
