Research into head and neck cancer is multi-faceted. We want to know which people are more prone to certain types of cancers. We want to know the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and spread. We want to know the best way to treat each type of cancer. And, we want to know how to personalize cancer care and recovery to optimize each patient’s outcome. Research efforts underway at Washington University address all these issues.
