The Shepard Lecture Series is named in honor of Wilma and Earl Shepard.  Shepard was professor emeritus and long time chairman of the Department of Orthodontics at Washington University School of Dental Medicine. His outstanding contributions to his specialty are recognized nationally. The Shepards are known for their numerous benevolent contributions to Washington University and the greater St. Louis community.
