The WashU Medicine Departments of Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology are pleased to host our Annual Lateral Skull Base Dissection Course on Saturday, February 13, 2027.

Held in our state-of-the-art Multidisciplinary Surgical Simulation Lab on the WashU Medicine campus, the course has been a cornerstone of our training program for two decades. We are now pleased to extend our reach in the academic community by inviting trainees and faculty from across the nation to foster broader collaboration and education.

This year, we are honored to welcome distinguished guest speakers Isaac Yang, MD, professor of neurosurgery at the University of California – Los Angeles and Oliver Adunka, MD, chair of otolaryngology at the University of Miami, who will provide invaluable insight and expertise for course participants. The course runs from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will feature didactic lectures and hands-on cadaveric dissections, focusing on translabyrinthine, retrosigmoid and middle fossa approaches to the lateral skull base.
