Washington University Director of Revenue Cycle & Financial Analyst Cody Dayton shares his passion for finances and his underwater pastimes.
What is your current title and how long have you been with WashU ENT?
I am the Director of Revenue Cycle & Financial Analyst. I have been with the department for a year and 5 months, but I have been at Washington University for over 11 years.
What do you like most about your work here?
Knowing that my efforts contribute to the financial health of the department, which in turn supports patient care, gives me a great sense of purpose and satisfaction.
What would most surprise your colleagues to learn about you?
My colleagues might be surprised to learn that I am an avid scuba diver and have explored some stunning underwater landscapes. Additionally, I recently went skydiving and absolutely loved the experience. It’s a thrilling way to unwind and gain a fresh perspective on life.
What spare time activities bring you the most joy?
In my spare time, I find great joy in caring for my fish and setting up new aquariums. I have many aquariums in my home, and I love creating beautiful and stimulating environments for my fish to thrive in. It’s a relaxing and rewarding hobby that allows me to combine creativity and care.
Is there a special something at the top of your bucket list, and why?
Visiting ancient ruins like Machu Picchu or the pyramids of Egypt is high on my list. The history and mystery surrounding these sites fascinate me, and experiencing them in person would be amazing.
