Congratulations to our department’s Pedal the Cause team on successfully fundraising over $15,000 to help create a cancer-free world. This surpassed the team’s fundraising goal! Our team is comprised of 38 members including otolaryngology faculty, neurosurgeons, cancer survivors and their families.
This year’s Pedal the Cause fundraiser was held virtually – from California to Missouri – due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite being held virtually, participants found ways to bike, walk or run in small groups to raise money for cancer research.
As a department, we are proud of our team and their accomplishments this season. Team Heads Up came in eighth among hospital-affiliated teams. The fundraiser will continue until Oct. 31, 2020. Thank you to all of our generous donors!
