The Department of Otolaryngology at Washington University has opened new clinic space adjacent to the new Barnes-Jewish West County Surgery Center, offering patients medical and surgical services in one convenient location.
The Washington University Ear, Nose and Throat Center, opened July 11 at 450 N. New Ballas Road in Creve Coeur. The adjacent surgery center opened August 15.
The Center provides patients a more convenient level of care by offering clinic and outpatient surgical services at one location. The otology-focused clinic will offer comprehensive diagnostic and medical service for:
- Chronic ear disease, including hearing loss,
- Ear infections and Meniere’s disease
- Cochlear implants and hearing aids
- Dizziness and tinnitus evaluations
- Hearing, balance and facial nerve disorders
- Conditions requiring minimally invasive endoscopic ear surgery
Senior Director of Clinical Operations Kristin Vierling has been looking forward to working in a larger space that will accommodate more providers, including residents, fellows, and audiology students.
“The Barnes-Jewish West County and WashU teams worked hard to ensure this is a center of excellence, one that will benefit both our patients and physicians,” said Vierling. “I was very impressed with the collaboration and time spent working to identify and plan workflows down to the smallest detail.”
Otologists Jacques Herzog, MD, Matthew Shew, MD, and Cameron Wick, MD, and nurse practitioner Misty Vogt are seeing patients at the new location. A full range of audiology services are also available.
