Lauren Mueller, MD

Lauren Mueller, MD

MD: Tulane University School of Medicine

I am thrilled to return to the Midwest for residency at WashU Medicine, a program that stood out to me for its balance of outstanding clinical training, robust research opportunities, and a genuinely supportive culture.

Hometown: Peoria, Illinois

Personal Statement: I grew up in central Illinois and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for college. During that time, my immediate family relocated to Jacksonville, Florida. Looking to explore a new part of the country, I moved to New Orleans for medical school at Tulane University. Now, I’m thrilled to return to the Midwest for residency at Washington University in St. Louis, a program that stood out to me for its balance of outstanding clinical training, robust research opportunities, and a genuinely supportive culture. Outside the hospital, I enjoy thrift shopping, crafting new cocktails, and skiing. My partner’s family is from Boston, so we love spending time in New England as well.
