Research Interests

Dr. Puram’s research focuses on understanding tumor heterogeneity in head and neck cancer, and how heterogeneity among malignant, stromal, and immune cells may contribute to prognosis, treatment response/resistance, and underlying cancer biology. He has formal training in research and has advanced the field through the use of cutting edge sequencing technologies that allow tumors to be characterized at a single cell resolution.
